Feranada G. Acuna, 83, passed away at Ft. Bayard Medical Central August 5 following an extended illness. Mrs. Acuna was a native of Gila and had lived in Santa Fe for many years. Survivors included four daughters, Mrs. Candida Matz of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Elvira Ogas of Santa Fe, and Mrs. Natilda Tofoya of Hacienda, Calif; four sons, Joe of Los Angeles, Calif., Rudy of Portland, Ore., Levi of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Gilbert of Silver City; 27 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Francisca Sepulveda and Mrs. Chelina Armendarez, both of Calif. Rosary was said in the Curtis- Bright Funeral Chapel at 730 p.m. Monday with the funeral Mass being recited at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery with the Rev. Fr. A. James Milano officiating. Casket bearers were Alfredo Corral, Leonardo Triviso, Lalo Triviso, Benny Altamirano, Manuel Sanchez, and Rudy Garcia.
