Eloisa Garcia, age 70, a resident of Las Vegas, N.M., passed away on Saturday July 21, 2007, at St, Vincent's Hospital in Santa Fe, N.M. She was born in Gonzales Ranch to Gabino and Florinda Lovato.

She is preceded in death by her husband Teofilo Garcia and two infant children; Parents Gabino and Florinda Lovato; brothers Luis Lovato, Joe Lovato,and Benny Lovato; sisters Dora Griego and Vivian Ortiz; sisters-in-law Angelina Lucero, Ramona Johnson, Alice Sanchez and Mary Jane Lovato; brothers-in-law Guermillo Garcia, Charlie Padilla and Alex Griego; father-in-law Juan Garcia and nephews Robert (Bobby) Lucero and Leo Griego.

Eloisa is survived by her sons: Joseph Garcia, Ricardo Garcia and Mary Valencia; daughters: Gloria Garcia, Kathy Garcia and Alex Duran, and Rebecca Garcia.

She is also survived by her special grandchildren whom she loved dearly: Angela Marquez, Michele Marquez, Andrew Garcia, Alexander Duran and Jennifer Lujan. Other survivors are her stepmother Carolina Lovato; sisters Josie Gonzales, Helen Zamora, Ida Lucero, Martha and Floyd Lovato; brothers Paul Lovato, Gabino Lovato, Estevan and Gloria Lovato, and Moises Lovato; sisters-in-law Julia Lovato and Lupe Padilla; brother-in-law Abelino Sanchez; best friend Margaret Lesperance; special friends Marilyn Vigil and Theodore Marquez. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Eloisa was a loving mother and loved to be with her grandchildren who were the love of her life. She liked to listen to spanish music and liked to be around her special friends at the flea market.

A rosary will be recited at Our Lady of Sorrows Church at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The funeral mass will be celebrated by Rev. C. John Brasher at 9 a.m. Thursday. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary cemetery with Eugene Abeyta, Walter Gonzales, Lalo Gonzales, George Griego III, Georgie Griego IV and Sequoia Romero serving as pallbearers.
