ANITA GARCIA ACOSTA, loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and dear friend passed away on August 1, 2006 at the age of 83 years.
She was born on June 3, 1923 in El Paso to the late Francisco and Candelaria Cuevas Acosta. Mrs. Acosta was a member of the Catholic Church and was a congregant at Our Lay Of Mt. Carmel.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jose Perea Acosta in 1987, her parents and a brother, Francisco Garcia Jr. Mrs. Acosta is survied by her loving children, Salvador Acosta and wife Maria, Jose Acosta Jr., Mary Lou Acosta, Consuelo Melendrez, Carmen Hernandez, Rosita Lopez and husband Pedro, Anita Jean Ramos and husband Enrique, and Maria Elena Rios and husband Alfonso Manuel; 28 grandchildren and numerous grea-grandchildren.
Vistation for Mrs. Acosta will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2006 from 5-9 PM at Martin Funeral Home East with recitation of the rosary to begin at 7 PM. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, August 4, 2006 at 9 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel (Old Mission). The rite of committal and interment will follow at Mt.
