David Gant Died Tuesday.
David J. [asper] Gant was born May 18, 1872, on a farm 8 miles west from Bedford, and died at his home in Bedford at 2:30 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 21, 1922.
His parents were Samuel and Mary Almyra Gant, pioneer settlers in Taylor County, Iowa. He was married October 19, 1893, to Daisy E. [llen] John near Bedford, and to them were born four children, Blanche, Francis and Paul, all now at home, and a son, who died in infancy. Mr. Gant leaves three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Miller of New Market, Mrs. Anna Bix, and Mrs. Hattie Stewart, and a half sister, Mrs. Caroline Weingarth, and two brothers, S. [amuel] W. [infred] Gant and C. [harles] N. [ewton] Gant, all of near Bedford.
Mr. Gant united with the Christian church at Siam in 1894, moved to Bedford in 1901 and became affiliated with the Christian Church here.
He was a member for many years of the Masonic order.
His wife and children, sisters and brothers have the sympathy of the entire community.
Burial services were held at the home this afternoon, by Rev. Lowe.
