At his home on East Steuben street, Sunday morning, occurred the death of Conrad Gansevoort, resulting from the infirmities due to advanced age.
The funeral will be held from the house this afternoon at one o'clock Rev. W. S. Davison officiating. Burial will be in Grove cemetery.
Mr. Gansevoort was born in Bath January 6, 1836, son of Dr. TenEyck and Helen R. Lyon Gansevoort.
His father settled in Bath in 1824 where he practiced medicine and was engaged in mercantile pursuits till his sudden death in 1842. His mother was a daughter of Moses Lyon, of Prattsburg.
Captain Gansevoort married September 6, 1863, Cornelia Maria Fenn, daughter of Philip Curtiss Fenn and Mary Tryon. She was born in Medina, Ohio, in 1833 and died in Rochester in 1887, leaving no children. She was interred in, Bath.
Captain Gansevoort was the last survivor of his family. His brother,Ten Eyck, died in 1867; his sister, Mary Woods, who married former Congressman Hungerford, of Corning, died in 1883, while his older sister, Catherine Elizabeth, who married Duncan S. Magee, and later, Judge B. F. Angel, died about four years ago.
His nearest of kin is his niece, Mrs. Edwards, of London.
