Luetta Ann Ganschow, 89, of Winona, Minn., and formerly of Arcadia, Wis., died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, at the Community Memorial Hospital in Winona.
She was born to Leonard and Ida (Marking) Ziegeweid in Arcadia, Wis., on Sept. 10, 1910. Luetta was a graduate of Fountain City High School and the Eau Claire University. On June 10, 1933, she married Erwin A. Ganschow in Eau Claire, Wis. He preceded her in death in 1992.
Luetta was a housewife and a member of the Crucifixion Church in La Crescent, Minn. She was also a member of the church's C.C.C.W.
Her survivors are two sons, Erwin C. (Nancy) Ganschow of Arcadia and Thomas (Lisa) Ganschow of Athens, Ga.; six grandchildren, Patrick (Jodi) Ganschow, Chris (Bruce Pehler) Ganschow, Robert (Terri) Ganschow, Heide (Randy) Korpal, Leslie L. Ganschow and Erwin R. Ganschow; five great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Katrina, Sabrina, Zachary and Lucas Ganschow.
Luetta was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter; four sisters; and two brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon on Friday, May 5, 2000, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, with the Rev. Raymond Pedretti officiating. Burial will be in the Buffalo City Cemetery, Buffalo City, Wis.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Wozney Funeral Home, where there will be a 7:30 p.m. Rosary. Friends may also call from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Serving as casketbearers will be Dave Ziegeweid, Bernie Ziegeweid, Jim Ziegeweid, Lyle Ziegeweid, Warren Frie and Junior Lager.
