Mrs. Clara Taylor

The funeral of Mrs. Clara Taylor, who died in a Worcester Nursing home Monday, will be held at the Tillapaugh funeral home here Thursday at 2 o'clock. Mrs. Taylor was born here February 14, 1881, and was a daughter of Elbert Gano and Mary E. Hawver Gano. She was graduated from the Cooperstown High School and training class and taught for several years at Schuyler Lake.
In 1908, she married Dr. E.A. Taylor of that place. After the death of Dr. Taylor in 1918, she moved to Johnstown where she had a teaching position until 1931 when she became ill.
She is survived by one son, Harold of Richfield Springs and by two grandchildren, Patricia Ann and Walter M. Taylor and by one sister, Mrs. C. Linn Stiles of Cooperstown.

Mrs. Clara G. Taylor

Cooperstown ---- Mrs. Clara Gano Taylor, 65, widow of Dr. E.A.Taylor, former prominent physician in Schuyler Lake, died Feb 11, 1946, in a Worcester nursing home where she had been cared for recenetly.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m tomorrow in the Tillapaugh Funeral Home, Milford. The Rev. Harlow Parsons, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Johnstown of which she was a member, will officiate, and the body will remain in the funeral home vault until spring.
Born in Milford Feb. 14, 1881, She was the daughter of Elbert and Mary E Hawver Gano. She was graduated from Cooperstown High School and training class, and taught for several years in the Schuyler lake school. She married Dr. Taylor there in 1908, his death occurring in 1918. In 1921 she moved to Johnstown where she had a teaching position in the Johnstown public school until she developed ill health in 1931.
