CORINTH - Hazel Gann Babb, 93, died Saturday, May 3, 2003, at the Whitfield Nursing Facility. She was born March 2, 1910. She was a member of the Box Chapel United Methodist Church for 80 years. She participated in all church activities and especially enjoyed the quilting group. Her favorite hobby was gardening and flowers.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. at the McPeters Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Smith Whiteside and the Rev. J. G. Babb officiating. Burial will be in the Box Chapel Church Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband of 72 years, Welch Babb of Corinth; one son, Donald Welch and his wife, Kitty, of Huntsville, Ala.; two daughters, Marie Martin and her husband, Ronald, of Nashville, Tenn., and Glenda Andrews and her husband, John, of Corinth; one brother, James Gann of Corinth; one sister, Ann Harwell of Corinth; 10 grandchildren, Rodney Martin, Cindy Simon, Missy Clenderen, Donald Babb Jr., Daniel Babb, Savannah Babb, Kim Rhodes, Amy Bright, Debbie Whitley and Greg Babb; 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robin Babb; a grandson, Robbie Babb; and a sister, Noreen Hammett.
