Cheryl Gambill (1971-2008)

Cheryl Annette Fitzer Gambill, 37, of Westwood, passed away early Monday morning, Dec. 22, 2008 at her home following an extended illness.

She was the daughter of Mary Reed Fitzer of Ashland and the late James Roger Fitzer, born July 16, 1971, in Ashland. She attended Summit Elementary and was a graduate of Boyd County High School Class of 1989.

Sadly, Cheryl leaves behind her handsome sons, Mark Anthony Ratliff II and James Mason Lee Gambill, both of Ashland; a sister and her husband, Cathy and Ricky Kirk of South Point, Ohio; her paternal grandparents, Harvey and Thelma Fitzer of Ashland; an uncle, Lester Reed of Clearwater, Fla.; two aunts, Ester Cotton of Huntington and Linda Fitzer of Ashland; and two precious nieces, Hannah and Molly.

Also preceding her was her maternal grandparents, Marion and Mary Weaver Reed.

A funeral service for Cheryl will be at noon Friday at Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home on Panola Street in Catlettsburg. Pastor and brother-in-law Ricky Kirk will offer words of comfort and a very personal eulogy.

Those wishing to call on the Gambill family may do so after 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Committal in Dixon Cemetery will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers contributions may by made to an educational fund for her sons, c/o Kentucky Farmers Bank, 2500 Broadway, Catlettsburg, KY 41129.
