HAROLD LEWIS GALLOWAY, age 86, passed away January 25, 2009 at Methodist South Hospital in Memphis, TN. Mr. Galloway was a long time educator for the Memphis City School System. Mr. Galloway served in the U.S. Army. Visitation, Thursday, January 29 at R.S. Lewis & Sons Funeral Home from 4-6 p.m. Funeral service, Friday, January 30 at Middle Baptist Church, 801 Whitehaven Lane at 11 a.m., with Dr. Lester Basken officiating. Burial will be in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Martha C. Galloway; two sons, Ronald Galloway of Columbia, TN and Harold L. Galloway, Jr. of Memphis, TN; three sisters, Doris Jackson, Emily Groome and Rosalind Green, all of Detroit, MI; two brothers, Donald Galloway of Detroit, MI and James Earl Galloway of Warner-Robbins, GA; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
