Evelyn E. (Gallo) Albert, 86, of Kiski Township, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007, in UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh. She was born Feb. 1, 1921, in Barnesboro, a daughter of the late Maddalena (Pallone) and Joseph Gallo. She lived in the Kiski Valley most of her life. She had worked for Ford Motor Company in Michigan as a riveter during World War II and was also a homemaker. She was a member of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Apollo, and Rosary Confraternity of the church and she enjoyed reading. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by eight sisters, Mary Morabito, Eva Puntureri, Concetta Manaia, Rose Campisano, Catherine Ameno, Florence Zampogna, who was her twin, Elvita Grande and Madeline Orkwis; and three brothers, Frank, Joseph and Sam Gallo. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Abraham "Fiack" Albert; a son, Frederick "Rick" (Melinda) Albert, of West Leechburg; three daughters, Colleen (Steve) Rickenbacher, of Dallas, Texas, Tammy (George) Gary, of Monroeville, and Judi Albert, of Pittsburgh; a brother, William (Rosella) Gallo of Kiski Township; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the CURRAN-SHAFFER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 100 Owens View Ave., Apollo, PA 15613. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in St. James Church, Apollo, with her pastor, Father John T. Sweeney, as celebrant. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Apollo.
