Born and raised in Marblehead, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Lillian (Thackery) Peach. As a young woman she worked as a "floor girl" for the former CBS Hytron of Salem. Connie and Al married in 1953. The couple lived in Swampscott until 1964 when they and their young family moved to Salem.
Connie's entire life revolved around her family. She devoted all of her time creating a welcoming and secure home for her husband, children, and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna Poulos and her husband, Bill, of Maricopa, Ariz., Doreen A. Nelson and her husband, Doug, of Salem; five grandchildren, Craig and Matt Nelson, Allison Ross, Katie Langan and Jessica Johnson; and a great-granddaughter, Kate Langan.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service at Waterside Cemetery, West Shore Drive, Marblehead on Saturday, August 3, 2013, at 1 p.m. A celebration of her life will immediately follow at 60 Moffatt Road, Salem. There will be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
