Helen June Galbraith Foskett, 83, former resident of Woolard Rd in the Santa Fe Community, died Friday at NHC Columbia.

Graveside services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Santa Fe Cemetery near her grandson Everett Lauderdale. The family will visit with friends at the graveside

The Lawrence, Kansas native was the daughter of the late Merle "Muchie" Galbraith and Mildred Long Galbraith Lyons. She was a 1948 graduate of Lawrence Memorial High School in Lawrence, Kansas where she was the valedictorian of her class. Mrs. Foskett had lived in the Santa Fe Community for four years and had always considered Tennessee to be her home. She was known for her wonderful sense of humor and witt. She was the family correspondent and historian. For thirty five years she was a waitress and she enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. Mrs. Foskett was an Au Pair and loved to use her beautiful voice to sing. She was of Christian faith.

Survivors include five daughters, Kathryn Naron of St. George, Utah, Jan Ellen (John) Rowland of Leeds, Alabama, Brie (Charlie) Cirbo of North-Glenn, Colorado, Melissa Grogan of Lenexa, Kansas, and Karen (Pat) Denning of Madison, Tennessee; eighteen grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Ann (Ron) Hodges of Ottowa, Kansas, and Betty Lou Brown of San Sebastibol, California.

She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Thomas Armstrong; grandson, Everett Lauderdale; sisters Juanita Irene Lowland and Lora Lee Sample.
