Alexander Galbraith, 80 years old, was found dead in bed at his home, 68 North Hamilton Street, Monday morning. Coroner Andrews was called and declared apoplexy as the cause of death.
For one of his age, Mr. Galbraith had enjoyed remarkably good health. He retired at the usual hour Sunday night, apparently all right, and when he did not respond to a call Monday morning, a member of the family went to his room and found him dead in bed.
Mr. Galbraith was one of the best known wheelwrights in the city. He was employed at various times by Brooks Brothers, Reed & Forman and Sedgwick's. He is survived by a widow, three sons, Samuel and William of this city and Joseph of Nyack, and one daughter Mrs. Jennie Anderson of this city.
