News was received Saturday of the death Friday morning at her home in San Francisco, Cal., of Mrs. Mamie Carpenter, wife of Fred Carpenter and a daughter of Harrison (Gaither formerly of this county, but more recently of Chicago.
The telegram announcing the death gave no further particulars than that the body would be brought To Dayton for burial Wednesday or Thursday.
