Blanche I. Fox, 90, Blue Ridge, died at her home on Friday after a brief illness. Born in Rush County on Sept. 24, 1893, she was the daughter of Elias Love Gahimer and Gertrude Estel Baker. She was married to Harry H. Fox on June 4, 1912. He died on Dec. 18, 1966. Mrs. Fox lived in the Blue Ridge area all of her life and was a self-taught sign painter. She was also a working partner in the Harry H. Fox Well Drilling Co. in Blue Ridge. She retired in 1963. Survivors include a son, Larry B. Fox, of Blue Ridge, and five grandchildren. Two sons preceded her in death. Private graveside services will be Sunday, with the Rev James Farnsley officiating. No calling hours will be observed. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shelbyville Public Library. Carmony Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
