Violet M. GAGNON, 73, Miller's Trailer Court, Mentone, died at 12:47 a.m. today in the Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. She had been ill several years. She was born Oct. 31, 1909, in Kosciusko County to James and Sarah MEYERS HAMILTON. She lived in the trailer court since February, coming from her farm at Rt. 1, Claypool. On Nov. 2, 1929, she married [Arthur] R. GAGNON. He died in July of 1980. She was a member of the Silver Creek Church of God. Surviving are a daughter, Clara Belle BROWN, Houston, Texas; a son, Ronald [GAGNON], Mentone; five sisters, Mrs. Eskell CLEMENS, Deedsville; Mrs. Joe TAYLOR, Kendallville; Clair CORHAN Macy; Mrs. Russel GAGNON, South Whitley, and Mrs. William SHAFER, Charles City, Iowa; two brothers, Don HAMILTON, Syracuse, and Russel HAMILTON, Macy; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A son, Gene [GAGNON], was killed in the Korean War. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Silver Creek Church of God wih he Rev. Fred LANDOLT officiating. Burial will be in the Silver Creek Church of God Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at the King Memorial Home, Mentone, and one hour before the service at the church.
