Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Mae Gaar Amberg, 49, of Georgetown, who died Tuesday night after a long illness, were held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Georgetown Methodist Church. Burial was in the Stark Cemetery near Georgetown.

A member of a prominent Winn Parish family, Mrs. Amberg was the daughter of the late J. W. Gaar of Gaars Mill. For many years she taught in the Winn Parish schools.

Surviving is her husband, John Amberg; a son, Jimmy; three daughters, Mildred, Francis, and Cherry Sue, all of Georgetown; her mother, Mrs. J. W. Gaar; five brothers, S. H., Roy, Shelby, and Edwin, all of Gaars Mill; and Willie Gaar, Winnfield; and one sister, Mrs. Howard Kelley, Winnfield.
