Services for Mrs. Maggie Gaar Sanders, 88, of Ruston were held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 8, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Ruston, where she was a member, Rev. James L. Stovall, nephew of the deceased, officiating.

Burial was in Transport Cemetery near Dodson, La.

Mrs. Sanders was a native of Gaar's Mill in Winn Parish, La. and had lived in Ruston since 1929. She was a member of the United Methodist Women and the D. M. A.

Survivors include three sons, William E. Sanders, Minden, La., Wilbur H. Sanders, Atlanta, Ga., and Wade M. Sanders, Huntsville, Ala.; three daughters, Mrs. William W. Baldridge and Mrs. Wendell H. Barnett, both of Shreveport, and Mrs. Jerry F. Heard, Minden; 24 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
