Services:Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 AM Saturday, January 7, 2006 at Our Lady of Peace Chapel, Bishop Drumm, 5837 Winwood Drive, Johnston, IA. The Reverend Thomas DeCarlo officiating. Interment will be in Glendale Cemetery, Block A, Lot 84, Des Moines, IA.
Visitation:Begins at 4 PM Friday, January 6 at Our Lady of Peace Chapel. A wake service will be held at 4 PM.

Sister Mary Francella Grant, 88, died at Mercy Hospital on Wednesday evening. She was born in Adair, IA to Edward and Mary (Hollinrake) Grant. She made her first vows on September 12, 1936 at Mount Loretta. She graduated from the College of St. Mary in Omaha and taught elementary school for nearly 50 years. Most of her ministry of teaching was in Council Bluffs, but she also taught in Des Moines; Devils Lake, ND; Lincoln, NE; Balta, ND; and Omaha. She retired from teaching in 1987 and continued her caring ministry at Bishop Drumm.

She is survived by her brother, James Grant of Council Bluffs; her sister, Margaret Close of Golden, CO; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, John; and two sisters, Roberta and Raymonda, both Sisters of Mercy.

Memorials may be given to Sisters of Mercy Retirement Fund or Bishop Drumm Foundation.
