The son of George Funk and Nellie Johnson, Ted worked as a laborer at Lock #25 on the Mississippi River.
While working on the Winfield Dam, Ted accidentally came in contact with a high voltage electric wire and was electrocuted.
At the time of his death, Ted was 30 years, 5 months and 12 days old. He was buried on 29 Aug 1936 and was survived by his mother and father. He never married.
After their deaths, Ted's parents were buried next to him.
