Fred J. Funda, 44, of 427 S. Alvord St. died Thursday at University Hospital. Mr. Funda was a life resident of Syracuse. He was employed more than 25 years with Carrier Corp. Mr. Funda was a graduate of North High School. He was a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church. Surviving are an aunt, Theresa Kimmerle, and an uncle, O. James Kimmerle, both of Syracuse; a great-aunt; and several cousins. Services will be at noon Monday at Frasier-Shepardson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 1217 N. Salina St. Contributions may be made to St. Stephen Lutheran Church.
