Hugh/Henry served with the 3rd Iowa Infantry, not Cavalry. His record with the 3rd is not real clear. He apparently was ill, and we lost track of him. But after his health returned, he enlisted with the 14th Independent Battery, Ohio Light Artillery, so he clearly was not just hiding out.
