Funeral services were conducted last Friday afternoon, July 29 for Mrs. Marvin (Anna Lee) Fullerton who passed away at her home on Caruthersville, Rt. 1, early Thursday morning after a prolonged illness.
Rev. S.G. Shepard, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Caruthersville, conducted the services, with interment in Little Prairie Cemetery. The H.S. Smith Funeral Home in Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Fullerton was born January 26, 1920 at Ridgeley, Tenn. and came to Pemiscot County with her parents sixteen years ago. She was the daughter of the late D.N. Carlton and Mrs. Mae Carlton, of Caruthersville. She was married to Marvin Fullerton on January 22, 1951 and a son, Marvin Dennis, and a daughter Priscilla Ann, were born to them. She passed away at the age of 35 years, six months and one day.
Survivors are: her husband, Marvin Fullerton; a daughter, Dixie Lee Burton, by a previous marriage; a son and daughter, Marvin Dennis, age two and Priscilla, age ten months; her mother, Mrs. Mae Carlton of Caruthersville; two sisters, Mrs. Janice Champion of St. Louis, and Mrs. Christine Stone of Ridgely, Tenn.; four brothers, John Carlton of Memphis, Tenn., Ralph and B.N. Carlton of Caruthersville, and J.P. Carlton of Tyler; a number of nieces and nephews and scores of friends.

Gravesite Details

Obit states she was buried in Little Prairie but her headstone was found in Maple Cemetery as well as her parents and brother. Dem. Argus Obit dated 8-7-1955 states burial in Maple Cemetery.
