Oct 15, 1963 - Carroll Daily Times - Albert Knox Fullerton, 90, Bagley, died Monday night, Oct. 14, at the Perry Nursing Home in Carroll. He was the father of Mrs. Roy J. Burns, Carroll. His funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Huffman Funeral Home in Carroll, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be beside his wife in the Carroll City Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. James King, pastor of the Methodist Church at Bagley of which Mr. Fullerton was a member.
Mr. Fullerton was born April 18, 1873, at Coulterville, Illinois. As a young man he came with a brother to Audubon and helped his brother farm. A railroad agent at Audubon taught him the telegraphy trade and after passing an examination in Des Moines, Mr. Fullerton went to Templeton in 1903 as a railroad telegrapher.
On July 23, 1903, he was married to Florence Susan Cole at Audubon. From Templeton, the Fullertons moved to Vinning, Panama, and Bagley. He was a telegrapher in each of those towns, retiring at Bagley.
Mr. Fullerton is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Burns (Dorothy); three grandsons, Tom, John and Robert Burns; and one sister-in-law, Mrs. Grace Fullerton of Boone.
Preceding him in death were his wife, one grandchild, parents, five brothers and one sister. Mr. Fullerton was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Bagley.
