PARK VIEW, Iowa - Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial for Charles C. Fullerton, 72, Park View, Iowa, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 25, 2005, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Davenport. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Long Grove, Iowa, following the funeral luncheon. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport, where a Christian wake service will be offered at 4:30 p.m. Mr. Fullerton died Monday, February 21, 2005, at Veterans Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa, after an extended battle with emphysema.

He was born June 24, 1933, in Moulton, Iowa, the son of Orville and Orpha (Brown) Fullerton.

Charles was employed as an assembler for Caterpillar Inc., in Davenport, Pontiac, Illinois, and Bettendorf. He retired in 1993. He was a Navy veteran, having served his country during the Korean conflict.

Charles was united in marriage to Josephine Butler, September 1, 1956, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Davenport.

He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Davenport, former member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Long Grove, Iowa, and a lifetime member of the VFW Post #8883, DeWitt, Iowa. His hobbies included gardening and woodworking.

Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church; St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Memphis, Tenn., or Shriners Children's Hospital, Chicago, Illinois.

Survivors include his wife, Josephine, Park View, Iowa; brothers, Lee Fullerton, San Diego, Calif., William Fullerton, Atlanta, Ga., and Tom Crow, Springfield, Ohio; sisters, Betty Turner, Moline, Ill., and Shirley Burton, St. Louis, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larry Crow.
