PALESTINE — Funeral services for Dorothy Fuller Booth, 91, of Palestine, and formerly of Austin, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Palestine City Cemetery.
Mrs. Booth died Tuesday in Webster.
She was born June 12, 1919, in Palestine to William Allison and Mozelle Perry Fuller.
She graduated from Palestine High School in 1936 and Nixon Business College. She married William Freeman (Bill) Booth on Sept. 5, 1942, in Dallas. She was employed by the American Legion Texas State Headquarters in Austin for 43 years until her retirement on June 30, 1989. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the Republic of Texas (real granddaughter), and United Daughters of the Confederacy all of Palestine.
Mrs. Booth is survived by sisters, Grace F. Crouch of Palestine and Jean F. Jones of Alvin; sister-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Fuller of Madison, Ala.; nephews, William G. (Bill) Henderson and wife Linda of Houston, Kirk A. Fuller and wife Debbie of Madison, Ala., Robert D. (Bob) Jones and wife Nancy of Ellicott City, Md.; nieces, Ann Miller of Neches and Ellen Armistead and husband Preston of Friendswood and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother, W.A. (Al) Fuller Jr.
She was a member of the Davis-Reagan Chapter #2292. Palestine, Texas of the "United Daughters of The Confederacy".
