Bessie was born June 8, 1931 in Coffee County, Alabama, daughter of the late James Wesley and Mamie Lois Fuller. She was raised in Columbus.
Bessie was a remarkable woman with many talents. She was resourceful and was able to make the most of the family's earnings often turning a "sow's ear into a silk purse". She was a talented cook and hostess; anyone could come to her table for a meal. She generously gave to her friends and family.
She was married for 60 years to Kenneth Leroy Fisher of LaVale, Maryland, a sergeant in the United States Army. As an army wife she often had to relocate her family and keep the family stable during her husband's absences.

She was a blessing to those that knew her and will be remembered for her kindness and love of family and friends. She was selfless and thoughtful of others and embraced life with joy and affection as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
