Doris Lavaughn Fulford Collins Beasley, 89, of Thomasville, went home to be with the Lord on Sept. 18, 2010 at Glen-Mor Nursing Home, in Thomasville, Ga. surrounded by her daughters. She was born Oct. 25, 1920, the daughter of the late Clayton D. and Bonnie Ruth Holley Fulford. She was the widow of Roy Benton Collins. She later married Leonard B. Beasley, Sr., who also preceded her in death.
She worked for Coats America, in Pelham, as a winder, for 37 ½ years. Her hobbies included attending church, fishing, watching the Atlanta Braves and playing with her dog, Pug. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt who will always be loved and missed by her family.
Surviving are her daughters, Elaine and Dale; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Collins; granddaughter, Sonni Lanfair McCann; three brothers; one sister; and loving step-father, Leo C. Brock. .
