FROOD FUNERAL. Effie Marie Frood, 70, of Detroit and formerly of Rockingham County, died Tuesday in Detroit. She was born Sept. 5, 1907 at Beldor and was the daughter of the late John B. and Carrie Herring Lawson. Mrs. Frood was a retired nurses' aid. Her husband, Robert A. Frood died in 1961. Surviving are two sons, William R. and Ellwood McDorman, both of North Lima, Ohio; two daughters, Ruby Marshall, Garden City, Mich., and Florence K. Hnott(?) of Pontiac, Mich.; one brother, John H. Lawson of McGaheysville; 10 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held 9p.m. Friday at the W. H. Kyger Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. The body will arrive tonight at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends 1-3 p.m, Friday. (The Daily News Record, Aug. 24, 1978)
