Her first job was teaching General Science at Antelope Valley High School in Lancaster, California, where her students were only about 3 or 4 years her junior. She was a wonderful and enthusiastic teacher, resulting in her being loved by students and staff alike. She made life-long friends while living and teaching there for 9 years. Martha returned to her home town of Fresno in 1952 to raise a family with her husband Ray Froelich. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed listening to music, be it the Fresno Philharmonic Orchestra, musicals at Roger Rocka's, Andre Riue and his orchestra, or the Strauss concert from Vienna on New Year's Day. She loved making friends and being a friend. She was alsways doing things for others. She loved being with her grandchildren. She was active in her church, her Bridge clubs, her bowling league, her exercies class, and Tokalon. She was a breast cancer survivor. Martha was an optimist, always up-beat, looking forward to eventuallyt reaching her 100th birthday. Martha died on November 15th, 2004 at the age of 83, as the result of the traumatice brain injury caused by a car crash. She was loved by many, and will be forever in our hearts.
