James Arthur Frieze, Jr.

James Arthur Frieze, Jr., age 71 of Fair Play, Missouri passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri.
He was born February 7, 1939 in Bolivar, Missouri to James Arthur Frieze and Vera Theda (Patterson) Frieze.
He was a baker and foreman at Colonial Bakery for 30+ years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Baker and Confectionary Workers Union and a member of the Baptist faith. He was a volunteer as a Deputy for the Greene County Sheriffs Department. James was not only a avid gun collector but also a member of the National Rifle Association. He also was a member of the Woodlawn Community Center.
James is survived by his three sons, James Frieze and his wife Susie of Republic, MO, Rex Frieze and his wife Robin of Willard, MO, Ron Frieze and his wife Jennifer of Cassville, MO, a daughter, Melinda Klopfer of Springfield, MO, two sisters, Mary Ann Stoops and her husband Oral of Springfield, MO, Francis Cornelius and her husband Dan of Halfway, MO, a sister-in-law, Mary Alice Frieze of West Covina, CA, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, September 2, 2010 at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, MO with Pastor Robert Burnett officiating. Musical selections will be "Amazing Grace" and "Peace In the Valley". Burial will follow in the Barron Creek Cemetery in Bolivar, MO, under the direction of the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar, MO. Visitation will be from 6-8pm, Wednesday, evening at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be James Frieze, Rex Frieze, Ron Frieze, Jamie Frieze, Brian Frieze, T.J. Frieze, Dustin Fletcher and Austin Fletcher. Honorary Pallbearers will be the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
