FRIEDLEY, Andrew (Andreas W. Friedli) was born April 2, 1826 in Berne, Switzerland the son of Laurentz and Anna Friedli. He immigrated to America with his parents and siblings August 13, 1844, settling in Naperville shortly thereafter. He married Augusta Wilhelmina Metzner November 1, 1850 and they were the parents of six children, Andrew Carl, Wilhelmina Augusta "Minnie" (Theodore H. Losey), Adelia F. (John Pender McLeod), Albert A., Theodore Frederick and Julia A. (Alson Sherman Kettering Sr.) He was a tinner and hardware merchant. He was raised a Master Mason January 25, 1853 and exalted a Royal Arch Mason August 1, 1856. He died October 23, 1888 in Lockport, Will County, Illinois and was buried in the Naperville Cemetery.
