THE FLORENCE CITIZEN, FLORENCE, FREMONT COUNTY, COLORADO - JANUARY 4, 1917

MRS. MARGARET JOHN, WIFE OF MAYOR OF WILLIAMSBURG DIES AFTER SEVERAL WEAKS ILLNESS

Mrs. Margaret John, aged 34, wife of Mayor Joseph John, of Williamsburg, died at the family home there Thurs. night, following an illness of several weeks with heart trouble. During the past two weeks she has been improving and on Wednesday she was up and ate supper with the family. Later the same evening she was taken suddenly worse and was unconscious until her death, which occurred at 9 o'clock last night.
Deceased was the daughter of John Frew, an old and respected pioneer of Williamsburg. She taught school for two terms at Williamsburg and acted in the capacity of city clerk for Williamsburg up until the time of her illness.
She is survived by a husband and nine-year-old daughter, Maragret and her mother and father, who live at Williamsburg. She has four brothers and four sisters, all of whom reside in the camps, except Mrs. Ed. Killian, who came this morning from Raton, New Mexico.
