Born in Bourbon Co, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Anna French. She was a retired R.N. from Good Samaritan Hospital for 42 years. She was a member of Christ Centered Church, Christian Women's Fellowship, a Kentucky Colonel, and past member of Arlington Christian Church. She was a past member of Post Anesthesia Nurses Association, listed in Who's Who in American Journal, and served on the Church Women United Board. Survivors are two daughters, Rebecca Pugh, Louisville, and Mary Jane Thurber, Martinez, GA; four grandchildren, Shawn Christian, Amanda Christian, Christopher Jackson and Bryan Thurber; one great-grandson, Nathaniel Christian; one stepson, Billy Frank Pugh, Lexington. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Christian. Funeral services will be 11am Sat at Christ Centered Church, 2275 Eastland Pkwy, by Pastor Tommy Howard. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana, KY. Pallbearers will be Richard Midden, Sam Arnold III, Bryan Thurber, Jerry Dawson, Ronnie Riddell, Christopher Jackson, Luther Hillard and Tim Scully Sr. Honorary pallbearers will be the Good Sam Nursing Class of 1947 and C.W.F. Arlington Christian Church. Visitation will be from 4-7pm Fri at the church. Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main St. is in charge of arrangements.
