Mrs. Ruth Collins 48, of 1400 First Ave, died at 8:30 this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ruth Anthony, 2708 Gale Ave. following a protracted illness. A daughter of HERBERT WILSON FRENCH and ADELIA BLANCHE HARDBARGER, she was born in Warrensburg, Illinois, July 19, 1900, Mrs. Collins was a member of the Illini Congregational Church in Warrensburg. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ruth E. Anthony of Peoria and Mrs. Alice Nutter of Minneapolis, Minnesota, a sister Mrs. Myrtle Turner, of Pana, Illinois. Two brothers Oscar F. French, of Metamora and Russell Lee French, of Jacksonville Illinois, and four grandchildren, a brother and sister are dead. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm. (CST) Wednesday at the Illini Congregational Church in Warrensburg, interment will be in Illini Cemetery, Friends may call at the Gauss Mortuary after 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Mrs. Ruth B. Collins 48 who moved to Peoria 20 years ago from Illini township, where she was born, died at 7:20 AM. yesterday in Peoria, she had been ill a year. Mrs. Collins was born July 19, 1900, a daughter of Herbert W. and Adelia French. Mrs. Collins leaves two daughters, Mrs. Leigh Nutter, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Mrs. David Anthony of Peoria, two brothers, Oscar French of Metamora and Russell French of Jacksonville, a sister Mrs. Myrtle Turner of Pana, and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 PM. Wednesday in the Illini Congregational Church, with burial in Illini Cemetery.

Grandmother to Larry, Marilyn, Ramona, Alice, Leigh, Lynn & Lorie Nutter, and Margaret and David Anthony.
