Funeral services for Mrs. Rolly Freeland, 71, who died unexpectedly ay her home in Effingham early yesterday (Dec. 6 1959), will be held at the Effingham Community Church at two p.m. tomorrow, the Rev. Frank Johnson officiating.
The casket will be in state at the church from 1 to 2 p.m. Until then it will be at the Stanton Mortuary. Burial will be at the Effingham Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ernest Congrove, Roy Eck, Tom Alderson, Glenn Nichols, Jess Stucker and Jim Cowley.
Mrs. Freeland was born April 24, 1888, near Nortonville, a daughter of Mr. And Mrs. William F. Henry. She was a graduate of Nortonville High School. Her marriage took place Sept. 16, 1908.
She leaves her husband, Effingham, two sons, Marvin Freeland, Fort Dodge, Iowa, and Roy Freeland, Topeka; two granddaughters, Mrs. Jon DeRyke and Miss Sandra Freeland, both of Fort Dodge, Iowa, and a grandson, Kent Freeland, Topeka and a great grandson, Dennis DeRyke, Fort Dodge; two brothers, Raymond and James Henry both of Nortonville, a brother, Ralph Henry, is deceased.
Early in life Mrs. Freeland became a member of the Nortonville Christian Church. She was active in Church and community affairs. At the time of ther death she was serving as the regular teacher in the Effingham Christian Church.
Mr. And Mrs. Freeland celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1958.
