Blamer, Vergie W., 88, of Pentwater, passed away Thursday morning, Oct. 21, 1999 at her residence. She was born Nov. 12, 1910, in Pentwater, the daughter of Henry and Mary (Wood) Freeland. She lived all of her life in this area. She married Walter Blamer Sr. Oct. 28, 1927 in Pentwater. She was a homemaker and was affiliated with Pentwater Baptist Church, Pentwater Senior CitizenÕs Club, and Pentwater Kitchen Band. Survivors are daughters, Willowdean Tiller of Muskegon, Ellen Brown of Fort Smith, Ark., Linda Eisenlohr of Jenison, and Shelley and Larry Lentz of Pentwater; son, Walter and Barb Blamer Jr. of Pentwater; 41 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Romaine Freeland of Pentwater and Maxine Cory of Shelby. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Blamer Sr.; sons, Ronald Blamer, Jack Blamer, Richard Blamer, and James Blamer; three brothers; and two sisters. Funeral services were Monday, Oct. 25, 11 a.m. at the Pentwater Baptist Church with Pastor Doug Smith officiating. Visitation was Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Burial in Elbridge Cemetery. It is suggested that in lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Pentwater Senior CitizenÕs Fund or Pentwater Baptist Church Building Fund. Arrangements by Tate Funeral Home, Pentwater.
