Mrs. Anna Marie Bandt, daughter of Fred and Minnie Freeland, departed this life on the tenth day of January 1956 at 8:30 a.m. at the age of 65 years, 10 months and 23 days at the Howard County Community Hospital in St. Paul, after suffering a stroke for almost 6 weeks.
She was born near Alliance, Nebraska on February 17, 1890. On July 4th, 1914 she was united in marriage to William Bandt at Fullerton, Nebraska.
In 1917 they then homesteaded near Peetz, Colorado, from there they moved to Phillipsburg, Kansas. In 1926 they moved back to Nebr. and the remainder of her life was spent in the Wolbach community. She was a devoted Christian and a member of the Methodist Church, a loving and kind mother who always thought of others first.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Cecil, her parents, and a sister Clara.
Besides her many friends and relatives she leaves to mourn her passing, her devoted husband, William; four sons, namely, Percy William, Overton Lee, Harold Leroy and Marvel Raymond, all of Cushing; nine grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Grover Farlee, Mrs. Eugene Gruber and Mrs. George Verplank; five brothers, Henry, Louis, Fred and Edward and many nieces and nephews.
