Jennie Bell Crowley, 93, died September 5, 2004, at an Onaga care center. She was born April 27, 1911, in Holly, Colorado, the daughter of Andrew and Sen Ann Drage Freel. She attended Mount Union Grade School and graduated from Soldier High School in 1929. She lived most of her life in the Onaga and Soldier communities. Mrs. Crowley was a homemaker and farmwife. She married Russell Crowley on May 26, 1936, in Topeka. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1991. Two sisters, Elizabeth Ann Freel and Goldie Mae Dick, and a brother, Nelson Freel, also preceded her in death. Survisors include a son, James "Jim" Crowley, Onaga; two granddaughters; and a great-granddaughter. Services were held September 9 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial was in Soldier Cemetery.
