Services for Carrie E. Free, 95, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Clair Odell officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Rebekah Lodge No. 96.

Mrs. Free died at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Ottumwa Hospital. She had made her home in Fairfield for a number of years until she moved to Ottumwa three years ago. Her home in Ottumwa was 738 N. Green Street. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fairfield and the Rebekah Lodge.

Carrie E. Free was born March 18, 1888, in Jefferson County. She was the daughter of Frederick (sic) and Anna Kientz Williams. She was married to Clyde C. Free Dec. 25, 1918, in Brighton. He died Aug. 24, 1966.

Survivors include five grandchildren: Sandra Mason, Ottumwa; Kathleen Shantstrum, Cedar Rapids; Ronald Reid, Clinton; Roger Reid, Fairfield; and Maria Glenn, Seagonville, Texas; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, two sisters and two grandchildren.
