Graveside services for Alan Edward Frederick of Grass Valley will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sierra Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Nevada City. Pastor Richard Buhler of First Baptist Church of Nevada City will officiate.
Mr. Frederick died Friday, April 6, in Grass Valley. He was 75.
He was born in Sacramento on April 6, 1926, to Irene H. and the late Harley W. Frederick.
He served at sea with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre during World War II and was a phone installer with Pacific Bell for 36 years. A Grass Valley area resident for 23 years, he married Frances O. Este Frederick in 1971 in Nevada City. Mr. Frederick was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 20 of Sacramento and the First Baptist Church of Nevada City. He enjoyed gardening and model railroad collections.
He is survived by his wife, Frances O. Frederick of Grass Valley; sons Scott and David Frederick, both of Sacramento; brother, Vern Frederick of Sacramento; and sister, Patricia Miller of Sacramento.
Mr. Frederick was predeceased by a brother, Robert Frederick.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
