Phyllis M. Eder, age 87, of Mankato, died on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Laurel's Peak in Mankato.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 6 at 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake with Rev. Robert Schneider officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-7 at All Saints Catholic Church and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Calvary All Saints Cemetery.

Phyllis was born on May 6, 1925 in Mankato to Ernest and Agnes (Hoehn) Frederick. She graduated from Cleveland High School. On November 21, 1945 Phyllis was united in marriage to Philip Eder in Madison Lake. She raised six children while moving around with Philip's military career. Phyllis worked at Brinkman's Market in Madison Lake. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, Saint Ann's Altar Society, Christian Mothers of All Saints, and the American Legion Auxiliary #269. Phyllis was a volunteer for the blood mobile. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and spending time with family.

Phyllis is survived by her children: Philip Jr. (Lynne) of Eatonville, WA, Pat Weston of Madison Lake, Kathy (Rick) Hale of Olathe, KS, Mike (Sharon) of Aitkin, MN, Jim (Susan) of Brainerd, and Jenny (Curt) Ahrenstorff of St. Clair; 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; 4 sisters; and 3 brothers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters, and 1 brother
