The Chico Enterprise, Saturday Evening, January 18, 1947: "Emily Bader Is Taken By Death. Emily F. Bader, a resident of Chico since the death of her husband in 1938, died yesterday morning at her residence at 395 East Seventeenth Street.
"She was born near Lynchburg, Virginia, and came to California in 1907. In 1908 she was married to Charles Bader in Magalia and the family lived there until his death. Mrs. Bader was well known in Chico, having nursed here for the past nine years.
"Surviving are her father, W.S. Frazier of Virginia, five sisters and two brothers in Virginia, and her son, Charles Henry Bader of Sacramento.
"Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Brusie Funeral Home. The interment will follow in the family plot of the Cherokee Cemetery beside her late husband."
