Rosetta Bevils died at the age of 90, the daughter of Evelynea and Joe Frazier, the 8th of 12 children. Rosetta was educated in the Sturgis School System of Mississippi, where she was born and raised. As a young adult she moved to East St. Louis, Illinois, where she remained till her death. Rosetta married Zeno Bevils in 1932. She was 19 at the time. They had two children together, Luther and Rosie. Rosetta confessed her faith in Jesus at an early age. She was a proud member of the Macedonia Baptist Church in East St. Louis, Illinois. Her favorite pasttime was crocheting name tags for new and old members of the Salvation Army Home League. She enjoyed gospel music and gospel programs. Her favorite game shows were Wheel of Fortune and Price is Right. Rosetta retired from H.H. Hall Construction Company. She was preceded in death by her parents, Evelynea and Joe, her daughter Rosie, grandson Derrick McGlown, six brothers, and 3 sisters. She is survived by: Her son Luther Bevils Sr., of Los Angeles, California, her brother William Frazier of Chicago, Illinois, her sister Luvenia Y. Lumpkin of Ackerman, Mississippi, 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
