On Saturday, April 26, 1941; Sue married Mr. John Thomas Briggs Sr., they were united in marriage for 41 years, 06 months, 21 days, upon John death on Monday, November. 15, 1982. To this union, they had two children, John “Tom” Thomas Briggs, Jr and Debby.
Starting work at a young age to help support her family, she brought her energy and enthusiasm to several different jobs, including bank teller, Olan Mills and house mother at Purdue University.
Sue took great joy in her family and friends, always enjoying a good party, bridge game, or family reunion.
Her husband John; son Tom; parents Willard & Blanche; three siblings; predeceased her in death.
Sue is survived by her
daughter, Debby Holton (Jim);
four grandchildren: Kate Mejaski, Ben Michaelis, Jamie (Briggs) Ebershoff, and Jennifer (Briggs) Horne;
and four great-grandchildren;
two sisters, Marge MacPherson and Dorothy Sisk;
three step-grandchildren, Josh, Ruth and Dan Holton;
ten step-grandchildren;
many nieces and nephews
