John F. Frawley, 72, died at his home, 627 North Main street, at 2:45 a.m. today of angina pectoris. He had been in poor health over a period of years, but death came unexpectedly.

Funeral services will be held at St. John's church at 9 a.m. Monday and burial will be in st. John's cemetery. The body will be removed to the residence from Young's funeral home this afternoon.

He was born in Elgin, Pa., Jan. 14, 1872, the son of Michael and Mary Frawley. Mr. Frawley began working for the Nickel Plate railroad on July 27, 1891, and retired on Dec. 31, 1939. He was an engineer for 40 years.

John Frawley was married to Adah Taylor 51 years. ago. She preceded him in death on May 30, 1937. Mr. Frawley has lived in Tipton for 51 years, and 33 years of this time he had lived in the present home.

Mr. and Mrs. Frawley were the parents of 13 children. One son, John, died in 1916. The surviving children are Mrs. Ella, Bilby, Arthur Frawley, Mrs. Frances Davis, Charles Frawley, Mrs. Anna Griffith, Emogene Frawley, all of Tipton; Pvt. Donald Frawley and Cpl. Thomas Frawley, both stationed in Italy; Mrs. Marie Bauermeister and Kathryn Goodrich, of fort Wayne; Mrs. Margaret Ashley, of Michigantown, and James Frawley, of Muncie.

The deceased is also survived by six sisters, Mrs. Mattie Bullock, of Oil City, Pa., Mrs. Anna Smith, of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Katie Sipple, of Erie, Pa., Mrs. Ella O'Connell, of Lima, Ohio, Mrs. Lizzie Conners, of Tulsa, Okla., and Mrs. Alice Herrington, of Buffalo, N.Y., and 13 grandchildren.
