Services for Rose P. Alferink (nee Frantz), 75, of North Ridgeville will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Bogner-Busch Family Chapel, 35403 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville.
The Rev. Arthur B. Egan, pastor of St. Mary Catholic Church in Avon, will officiate. Mrs. Alferink died Wednesday morning at St. John West Shore Hospital in Westlake. She suffered from emphysema for a long time.
Burial will be in Brooklyn Heights Cemetery in Cleveland.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Born in Cleveland, she lived with her daughter, Linda Goodman, in North Ridgeville for 21 years.
Mrs. Alferink owned Bud's Beverage Store in Cleveland, retiring more than 30 years ago. Prior to that, she and her late husband, William, owned Bill's Cafe in Cleveland for several years.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles. Survivors include daughters Linda Goodman of North Ridgeville and Carol Shults of Abilene, Rexas; a son, David of Clevelamd; nine grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren four stepchildren ; 17 stepgreat-grandchildren; and sisters Anne Matheny and Catherine Ewelt, both of Cleveland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William; and a sister Mary Farkas; and a brother, George Frantz.
