Bedingfield "Frankie" Myrtle Glenn Bedingfield (Nee Franklin), age 90, was born October 23, 1914 in Enid, Mississippi. Frankie married Utah-born Kenneth R. Bedingfield, in February, 1941. While he was fighting in the Pacific during World War II, she resided in California. A hard worker, she became one of the famous "Harvey Girls" and worked at the La Fonda in Santa Fe, New Mexico, in the 1930's. A wife and mother, she was also an accomplished fine artist. She was a resident of Utah, her adopted state, from the mid -1940's through 2000, when she moved to Colorado. Her husband, Kenneth, preceded her in death, having passed away in Salt Lake City, January 2, 1993. Her sons, Dr. J. Brent Bedingfield and Ray Niel Bedingfield, her grandchildren, Kenneth, Laurel, Nicole and Daniel, and her great-grandchild, Logan, all survive her. In Mississippi and Louisiana, beloved nieces, nephews, and her sister, Grace survive Frankie. A public viewing for Myrtle Glenn Bedingfield will be conducted at the McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road, from 7 - 8 p.m. on Monday, January 17, 2004. Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 18, at the Utah Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bluffdale, Utah.
