He was a 30-year veteran of the U.S. Navy, served in both World Wars. Member of St.John United Methodist Church, Lions Club, Rotary Club, VFW and the Masonic Lodge. Retired electrician of Gulf State Utility and lived in Rockdale for 20 years.
